On the picture you can see the block with different texts. One type is basic which in the end will not be editable when you will insert this block into another drawing, the other one created by attributes will be editable. It is neccessary to fill the prompt field, because things could get realy messy if you work with lot of attributes. In the dialog box which will pop up after you insert a block into the drawin you will see the question hwich you fill into the prompt field so you could easily recognize which text are you editing.
In the second picture is the dialog box which appeared after inserting the block into the current drawing.
On the last one is completed frame in layout with all filled texts, modified by attributes. So in all others drawing we just can insert new block and rewrite certain texts (when the number of sheet, scale or others important thing changes).
This is in a short the work with atributes which we used in our project...
